Throughout the placement rotations in your chosen graduate scheme, you’ll get to understand the IPL business, work on projects that make a difference and learn how we contribute to helping Asda customers to save money and live better.

We’re offering placements in five different areas of our business.

Commercial
Our Commercial graduates will have the opportunity to learn and understand the full supply and value chain. From how we work with our growers around the world, to sourcing, transporting and packing products, through to selling them in our Asda stores. Our vertically integrated business model will give you the opportunity to learn all aspects of this unique supply chain as well as being part of a great business team.

IT
If you make the cut for our IT Graduate Scheme, you’ll gain access to valuable experiences in a range of functions within our IT department and deliver real improvements for our customers and colleagues. You’ll have the opportunity to tackle a wide variety of roles within our team in areas such as; focusing on a high-quality service delivery with our IT Helpdesk, Application Support, Infrastructure, Security and Business Systems.

Legal & Compliance
Being selected for our Legal and Compliance graduate scheme will mean that you’ll help shape the compliance culture within an exciting, fast moving, global business. You’ll gain an operational and dynamic understanding of the role that the function plays within the business, gaining first-hand experience of how legal and regulatory compliance interface with complex operations. You’ll benefit from our multi-disciplined business in a team which drives real change by implementing simple, effective governance. This is a chance to make a valued contribution where you can put learning into practice in an ever changing and challenging environment.

Finance
Our Finance Graduate scheme is designed to develop you into a rounded Finance professional who will become one of our future leaders. The scheme will maximise the breadth and depth of your learning across commercial and operational finance, accounting & control, and financial planning & analysis. You’ll also be fully supported throughout the scheme to achieve your CIMA professional qualification to supplement your on-the-job learning.

HR
As a HR graduate, you’ll help to attract, retain & develop the right colleagues for our business. You will also have the opportunity to work in HR operational services and partner our leaders to implement & communicate business change. You’ll gain experience through working with great people on a variety of projects as well as the essential day to day activities. Having a customer mind-set, a positive attitude & being flexible is key if you would like to join our team . During the scheme you will have the opportunity to work towards completing your CIPD qualification.
